Hi, I'm Jayne Michellane and my online name is also Lady Jayne. 

I'm sure you've noticed from my "About Me" poem (if you can call it that! :-D) is that I write poetry. Though, my muse mostly seems to arise from the dark moments of my life; perhaps, to free me from those moments that try to weigh me down and can drag me into drowning in the depths of despair. Strangely, it inspires rhyming poems! So, I guess you could say that my poems are a “Rhymy Tragedy”. LOL

I'm a sensitive and creative soul and consider myself a bit of photographic artist and poet. I've always been artistic, but I haven't always nourished this part of myself. 

I developed anorexia when I was 11 years old and struggled with insecurities, depression and a negative voice for many years. Some days, my negative voice does return - usually, when I am feeling stressed and under pressure. It tries to convince me that I am worthless and not good enough. I am now in my 30's and have found the strength to tell that negative voice to just, "SHUT. UP!" :-) 

I have also found the confidence and courage to share my photographic art and poetry with others. In sharing my poetry and photography, I do feel like I am baring parts of my heart and soul. My deepest hope is that in sharing these with you, that it moves you, as the viewer/reader, and that you feel inspired - inspired by the beauty in this world that we can find even in the dark or "ugly" places and in the simple things, if we only open our eyes and hearts to see it. And that in seeing the beauty even through the ugliness, that you feel encouraged through the difficult moments of your life and become resilient and flourish! 

We all need a little inspiration!
